Aflat în vizită în Puerto Rico, preşedintele SUA, Donald Trump a început să arunce cu role de şerveţele în mulţimea adunată să îl vadă şi să îi asculte mesajul motivaţional, după trecerea uraganulul Maria, care a devastat mare parte din insulă.
Trump i-a vizitat pe localnicii din Gauynabo, zona cea mai puternic afectată de uraganul catastrofal. El a distribuit mâncare în faţa unei biserici şi mai târziu, poposind într-un adăpost improvizat, a început să arunce către oameni cu şerveţele, ca şi cum ar fi aruncat cu o minge de baschet la coş.
La un moment dat, preşedintele american a împărţit şi lanterne, dar până şi el s-a arătat surprins de ce avea pe masă: ‘Lanterne. Dau nu mai aveţi nevoie de lanterne’, a spus preşedintele american, neştiind că la ora aceea, doar 5,4% dintre locuitorii din Puerto Rico aveau curent electric.
